Careers advisers offer personalized advice, assess career options, and assist with decision-making, ensuring individuals make informed choices regarding their education and career paths.
They deliver structured lessons, workshops, and activities to students, helping them develop essential employability skills, career awareness, and understanding of the labor market.
These schools work closely with careers advisers and teachers to ensure students have access to valuable career resources, guidance, and opportunities, fostering a supportive environment for career exploration and decision-making.
To encourage the individual, society and countries in East Africa to make choices to improve their futures by:
Inspiring youths about the benefits of education and the training they can receive.
Facilitating entry into courses and guiding on interview skills, CV writing and communicating with colleges and employers.
Mediating to reduce drop-outs and ensure students complete their training.
Targeted support for students with specific needs to fulfil their dreams.
Careers Guidance is required during the entire working life of individuals, as they make choices in their working and learning.
